Raised in Quidi Vidi Village, aka "the gut", chef Mark McCrowe adored food from a early age. From his mom's kitchen to his first cooking gig at the age of fifteen, Mark knew cooking was in his blood. After formal training in Vancouver and a few stints in some of the Vancity's finest kitchens, he returned home to eventually set up what is today Aqua Kitchen and Bar. The restaurant is tightly run with the help of friends, family and a passionate young crew. Aqua continues to be a mecca for fine food in the city. Its a canvas for Mark to share his passion for flavor and ingredients to whomever walk through its doors.
